There is no such thing as a mistake – as long as we learn from the outcomes of the choices we make. Only if we keep on doing the same old thing – and, of course, getting the same old result – can we say that we have made a mistake. The way in which we build our bridges is by testing the rocks in the river to see that they are stable and firm. When we step on a wobbly stone, we carefully find another, and we do not revisit that wobbly stone. That would be a mistake.

Taking a chance also needs clarifying. In the same way that we do not act on ‘blind faith” – in the sense that we close our eyes to the circumstances and hope that things will turn out right – but we rather check out all the facts that we are aware of and then take a step forward based on our assessment of the situation as well as our intuition. Intuition will often lean in the opposite direction to logic, but learning to trust our inner instincts, by testing them, leads to a greater clarity when facing choices.

Regardless of whether or not you are comfortable and satisfied with your current situation, everything you have ever done has brought you to this point. Every person, place and predicament has evoked a response, and if the response has not been entirely to your liking, or has not brought the result you sought, it is revealed as an opportunity for ‘course correction’.

There are so many wonderful systems available that enable us to listen more closely to both our own inner voice and that of our guides. Whether you resonate with prayer, Angel cards, the I Ching, consultation with a counselor or a medium, communion with nature, meditation, music, dance or whatever lifts you out of the clamor and confusion of  the voices of indecision, there are many ways to come to a point of stillness. And in stillness, we can hear the whispers of the Angels, see the evidence of signs, allow the soul the freedom to emerge and feel the peace of knowing we are on the right track.
