Local Migration

Kiwi road sign on a cloudy dayFour Kiwis were driving along SH1, loaded with all their gear, and a bit uncomfortable. One was from Pukekohe, one was from Ohakune, one was from Tauranga and the last person was an Aucklander.

After a time, fed up with feeling cramped, the chap from Pukekohe says, “slow down and open the door – we can throw out these potatoes and make some room – there’s so many of them in Pukekohe – I can always get more.”

A little while further down the road, the chap from Ohakune says, “slow down and open the door – we can throw out these carrots – there’s so many of them in Ohakune – I can always get more.”

Finally, after another couple of kilometres, the chap from Tauranga pipes up, “stop the car and open the door.”
