Einstein became sick of being recognised in the streets and harrassed by fans in New York City. To avoid this kind of attention, whenever a fan would approach him, he would respond in broken English "Pardon me, sorry! Always I am mistaken for Professor Einstein." Despite his very recognisable appearance, people would usually believe him and turn away.
Fun Fact #2
The oldest obsidian bracelet discovered was made in 7500 BC. The 9,500-year-old bracelet was analysed by computers and the results showed that it is so intricate, even modern craftsmen would be hard pressed to improve it.
It was 10cm in diameter and the surface was polished to a degree equal to that of today’s telescope lenses.
