About Tangletree Mysteries: Peggy and Stu Investigate

The first in a comic/graphic novel series for 5-8s following the adventures of Peggy the dog, who – when she enters Tangletree Woods on her walk every day – takes up her position as investigator of mysteries.

Beyond the park and deep in the woods is a world of surprises. Here Peggy the dog has a secret life of mystery and investigation amongst the twisty trees and strange townsfolk of Tangletree.

No problem is too perplexing, no puzzle too small. Along with her faithful sidekick, Stu the shrew, Peggy finds all sorts of ways to help her friends.

Join Peggy and Stu in these colourful comic mysteries in the world of Tangletree.

About the Authors

The Mud and Slime Mysteries is Joel Stewart and Steve Roberts’ first book collaboration. Previously to this they have collaborated on TV animation including Abney & Teal and BOT and the Beasties. Joel has also illustrated for Julia Donaldson, Michael Rosen, Michael Bond as well as his own picture books. Steve created DipDap and Twirlywoos for Ragdoll, which both won Children’s BAFTAs. Before his work in television Steve was a freelance illustrator in comics.

    2. Competition closes on the 15th August 2023, winners will be notified via email by 17th August 2023.
    3. It is your responsibility to ensure you correctly enter a New Zealand postal address where the prize can be couriered. GrownUps will not take responsibility for prizes sent to incorrect addresses.
    4. Winners are drawn at random by the GrownUps administration team.
    5. GrownUps employees and family are not eligible to enter.
    6. By entering the giveaway, you approve for GrownUps to use your name on social media as winner of the competition.
    7. One entry per household.
    8. Prize is non transferrable.
    9. You must reside in New Zealand – the prize will only be posted within New Zealand.
