Touring France – A first hand account

gabby2Gabrielle was looking to go on a trip with a group tour that offered a wide range of experiences and activities yet was flexible enough to allow for some free time. She chose a trip with Touring France and said it was a really fantastic, “one I’ll never forget,” and she’d go again in a heartbeat.

“I came across Touring France by accident when I was looking for tour groups and they stood out for several reasons,” she says. “One being that they are New Zealanders and I knew that they would be flexible and fun. I also liked that everything – absolutely everything – was included in the cost. Even the coffees and ice creams when we stopped for a break during our travels!”

gabby5Travelling with a relatively small group was also a great drawcard. Gabrielle feels that it made the trip more flexible ad there was a great opportunity to make friends as a group.

“The itinerary was great – we had organised sightseeing in the mornings and more time to explore in the afternoons. I especially enjoyed our lunches al fresco…often in a beautiful park or alongside a river. It was just so pleasant and relaxing, and absolutely met my requirements – 110% in fact!

“David is a great driver with a load of patience, and everywhere we went, we were extremely well looked after. There were no hold ups or long queues anywhere. Everything ran like clockwork.”

gabby3She found it hard to single out one favourite experience. “Everything was very relaxed – we had such an easy time and stayed in lovely places, and then there was the wonderful food. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was so well organised we didn’t have to think past what to wear for the day!

“I’d recommend David and Sue and Touring France to anyone of any age who doesn’t enjoy noisy crowded bus tours and doesn’t like having to have their suitcase outside the hotel door at 7am every day or being in a group of 30-plus and not being able to hear a word the guide is saying. If you like a more relaxed approach with people who love France, speak the language fluently, plus look after you like you’re family they don’t come better than David and Sue.”
