Wedding photos capture love, celebration and joy. However, for a couple from eastern China’s Anhui Province, they couldn’t afford to have a photographer on the day – they actually had to wait until their 80th wedding anniversary to have a picture taken to commemorate their love, but it seems it was worth the wait!
Song Qinglin, 102, and his wife Song Lishi, 99, were married in 1936. While many find it a financial struggle to put on a wedding, they say they were so poor that they only had three plates of food at their wedding celebration.
The couple have spent a happy lifetime together, had six children, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Recently, a local volunteer association helped the couple arrange a wedding photo shoot to honour their 80th anniversary on July 23, 2016.
According to reports, the 99 year old bride loved every minute of the TLC and primping to get ready. The volunteers even provided a wedding gown for the occasion, and the groom wore a traditional red Changshan.
80 years of marriage is an incredible effort – congratulations to the happy couple!

Grandma stories…I did not know there was a day set aside for us. Enjoyed the read, and shall make sure that it is known on Facebook next year, and for here I will post a photo of my Grandmother
Anniversary Photos. How beautiful is that. I loved how the Bride was enthralled with it all.
Look forward to the new look…the only thing I ask for is, on our threads ‘comments’ box that a reply button is set up directly below each post, as Facebook does for example.
People do not seem to use the ‘Quote’system…it is very hard to figure out.
Cheers.
