Recipe: Blueberry and banana overnight oats

Another great overnight oats recipe, with blueberries and banana. Oats are a whole grain and a good source of soluble fiber.

This recipe also uses chia seeds, which contain omega-3 fatty acids, protein, fiber and carbohydrate. When hydrated chia seeds develop a gummy texture that acts like a gel.

1/2 Cup(s) Oats

1/2 Cup(s) Low-fat milk

1 Teaspoon(s) vanilla

1/2 Cup(s) Blueberries

1/3 Cup(s) Banana, sliced

1 Teaspoon(s) Chia seeds




Add oats to a seal-able container

Pour in milk and vanilla

Add a layer of blueberries then a layer of banana

Top with chia seeds and a drizzle of honey

Refrigerate overnight and serve chilled.
