One bowl oat slice

Recipes don’t come much simpler than this and with only one bowl used, cleaning up is a breeze.  Try this recipe with your little ones, there are minimal ingredients used and it makes a great lunch box treat for all ages.



  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup dates, chopped (raisins or chopped apricots can also be used)
  • 1/2 cup SR flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 200g butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp honey

Preheat oven to 180’C.
Mix together first five ingredients
Melt butter and honey and stir through dry ingredients
Press mixture into a greased/lined slice pan and bake for 15-20 minutes
Cut while still warm as it will crumble once cooled.
