His team issue over 350,000 certificates, print outs and marriage licences each year.

Govt.nz brings together government information in one place and uses language and design that is easy for customers to find and understand.

“The Department of Internal Affairs helps people when they are making plans for a very significant event in their life.  Whether they’re getting married, recognising the birth of their child, or dealing with the death of family or friends, Births Deaths and Marriages has an important role to play,” he says.

“We’ve now made it easier for New Zealanders to find BDM details. The information has been rewritten in plain English and presented in a way that makes sense to our customers – focussing on a particular product or service.”

Now the material is live, you will find everything you need to know on Govt.nz.
