As our skin becomes thin and frail with age, it can be easily bruised or torn by minor accidents around the home or while working outdoors.  Simple skin tears and bruises can take a long time to heal and often require frequent dressings.

Many of us have parents and grandparents who are constantly suffering from these types of injuries and although we mean well, the only solution is to tell them to stop gardening or limit their activities.

A better alternative is wearing a simple protective sleeve on the forearms or lower legs, where injury is most likely to occur.  Helping to prevent the injury from these knocks and bumps rather than restricting the activities is a more positive option.

Impactwear® Limb Protectors are protective garments for the arms and legs made of a skin tone fabric with soft flexible gel padding concealed on the inside for comfort and protection.

They are light and comfortable to wear and can be worn uncovered by clothing or under clothing without a bulky appearance.

"Before using Impactwear Limb Protectors I would often end up with scratches and bruises on my arms and legs which were a real nuisance. I can now go shopping and do my gardening without having to worry about my skin. And because they are so comfortable and look good, I am happy to wear them even when I go out to town." –
Colleen, 71 years old, Auckland

"The medications that I am on tend to make me bleed quite badly whenever I cut my arms. I am an avid gardener and still like to work outdoors but this was getting more and more difficult. My daughter bought me some Impactwear Limb Protectors and now I can still do the things I enjoy without worrying about cuts and bruises." – Gary, 67 years old, Auckland
