LAITHWAITES UNVEIL A FRESH AND BOLD NEW LOOK

Ever since a young Tony Laithwaite went to wash bottles at a French wine co-operative in Bordeaux in the 60s, family and friendship have been central to the Laithwaites journey. From Bordeaux to Barossa, Moldova to Marlborough – and all points in between, Laithwaites salutes the many family growers and wine lovers that they support and serve today.

Laithwaites is still a family-owned business, inspired by family values and the many family producers they work with. They’ve built long-standing relationships with winemaker’s face to face in vineyards and cellars across New Zealand, and in every corner of the wine world. No one goes further to find great wine. Back in the 1980s Tony was invited by the New Zealand Government to check out the Marlborough wine region. He fell in love and was one of the early pioneers in promoting New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc in the UK… and the rest is history….

Laithwaites wine experts are still exploring the globe, and the search never ends. This fresh new design showcases their broad range of fabulous, affordable wines – many of them exclusive, found nowhere else.

For over 50 years Laithwaites have been delivering a world of wine!  Recently they have begun to show off a stylish, bold new look to match, and people are loving it!

For Laithwaites, every grape starts a journey, every bottle tells a story, every glass inspires an adventure, which is why every case delivers the magic. It’s a process that simply unites people who love making wine and people who love drinking it.

Keeping things simple at every stage, Laithwaites have been able to keep costs down and guarantee authenticity with every single bottle they sell. They go direct to the smaller, family-run wineries for this reason. Because winemaking is more than just a profession for these guys, it’s a way of life and source of pride. And it shows in the quality of their wine.

Recently, Sally Duncan, who is also Chair of Hawke’s Bay Winegrowers, has just been appointed as the first New Zealand Country Manager for Laithwaites. “Working for Laithwaites gives me some great exposure to an international network of wine brands – something to explore and extend my wine knowledge!  I’m really excited about the opportunities that Laithwaites can bring to New Zealand wineries with the potential to sell to a global network.”
