About From Breakup to Breakthrough
An invaluable book for anyone who has ever suffered the heartbreak of a breakup, with tools to come through stronger and better than before.
From Breakup to Breakthrough: Believe in You! speaks directly to the heart of every woman who stands at the crossroads of a heart-wrenching breakup, in uncomfortable grief and looking for a way out of the darkness. Breaking up hurts. When you come face to face with your inner pain, it’s tempting to retreat. But so much goodness is waiting for you on the other side of your heartbreak.
With her wisdom and warmth, Brenda James guides readers through the murky waters of post-breakup turmoil. She offers a clear plan to reclaim your inner strength and rediscover your true self.
Integrating reflections from her own breakup to breakthrough with the narratives of eight women who have also walked this path, Brenda lays out a three-part roadmap: Know Yourself, Trust Yourself, Be Yourself. Each step reveals strategies for a process that turns your trudge towards the future into a confident leap—a place where you will emerge transformed.
This book offers more than hope; it’s your personal coach, a trusted friend, and a source of inspiration. Brenda’s gracious invitation for you to embark on one of the most important destinations you’ll travel to – the beautiful place where you wholeheartedly and eternally believe in you!
Author Note
‘When I was faced with a sudden and unexpected relationship separation, the pain was almost more than I could bear. I started searching for books to help. Every book I read seemed to go on and on about the pain, moving into the solution at a snail’s pace and continually boomeranging back to the pain. While there were things I could relate to, and it helped to have another author put what I was feeling into words, I was seeking rapid transformation. I couldn’t find it anywhere.
So, I embarked on a journey that saw me use the tools I share with my coaching clients. Shining a spotlight on self-awareness and trusting my intuition. Being able to sit still and cry. Being courageous enough to stop all non-essential contact with my ex. Embracing holistic healing by using meditation, healthy eating and movement, writing to release thoughts, and most of all – my daily gratitude practice. It’s the last part that truly saved my soul. Choosing the flavour of my thoughts. Especially when I started writing about the gains. Over time, I saw that I had gained inner peace. With hindsight, I saw that I’d had rose-coloured glasses on about the relationship. The healing has held. I am shining. I know I can inspire others to do the same.’
