Bananas and avocados are a tremendous combination in a smoothie -not only are they packed with goodness, their texture makes for a creamy dreamy result.
Tip: If you are using frozen bananas, always remember to peel them and chop them into chunks before freezing them in a ziplock bag – making smoothies is a breeze this way!
In summer, you could also freeze this mixture in an ice block mould for a quick nutritious treat.
For two servings you will need:
2 bananas (fresh or frozen)
1/2 avocado, stone and skin removed
1 1/2 cups milk (regular, almond, coconut or any your personal favourite)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon bee pollen
1 tablespoon peanut butter (optional)
1/2 a cup of ice
Method
Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed for half a minute until you reach a smooth consistency. Scrumptious!
