Macaroon Magic

macaroonsThese tasty wee morsels only need a couple of ingredients, should guests unexpectedly pop in over. Decorate them with glace cherries, preserved ginger or dip the tops in dark chocolate for a decadent finish!

You will need:

  • 500g desiccated coconut
  • 1 tin (395g) sweetened condensed milk

Method:

Preheat oven to 180C (160C fan-forced). Line a baking tray with baking paper and set aside.

In a bowl, combine the coconut and sweetened condensed milk.

Drop tablespoon-sized balls of the mixture onto the baking tray (you may like to lightly grease the spoon to make sure they form into shapes easily).

Place into the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
