Cinnamon baked pears

Sometimes the tastiest desserts are the simplest to make. Four simple ingredients are all it takes to make this dish and it ticks all the boxes, sweet, crunchy, healthy, gluten free and vegan.

  • 2 pears
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp honey (or maple syrup, if you prefer it vegan)
  • 3 tbsp walnuts
  • Optional: 4 tsp natural yogurt

Method:

Preheat your oven to 175°C.

Cut the pears in half and scoop out the seeds and core. Replace the core with with walnuts and drizzle about half a tsp of honey over each half.

Finish them off with a few dashes of cinnamon powder

Place on a baking tray and put in the oven for about 25 minutes.

Serve warm with natural yoghurt, custard or ice cream.
