Kayaking and canoeing are two activities that are quickly gaining popularity with people of all ages. Here are just a few reasons why kayaking/canoeing might be right for you to try.

1. Paddling a kayak/canoe is great exercise. The movements you make during paddling give your upper body an incredible workout. But even better than the rowing machine at the gym, you can do it in a beautiful environment.

Few things can give you the adrenaline rush that paddling off a 20 foot waterfall can! Manoeuvring through white-water can take some skill, but the thrill is totally worth it.

When you're paddling a canoe with someone, you have to work together or you'll just go in circles. This activity can help build teamwork skills and communication skills.
