COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Promotion Summary

• 1 The Promotion allows the entrant to win two return airfares to Perth from New Zealand and two seats on AAT Kings’ 5-day Monkey Mia & West Coast tour.
• 2 Information on how to enter and the prize(s) form part of these terms and conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2.   How to Enter

• 1 The Promotion Period for the WIN a Holiday for 2 to Western Australia! Competition begins at 00:01am on 06Apr22 and ends on 10May22 at 11:59pm.
• 2 During the Promotion Period visit https://grownups.co.nz/competitions/win-a-holiday-for-2-to-western-australia, fill in the online entry form. Entry is free. Limit of one entry per person.
• 3 Participants will be entered into a lucky prize draw, which will be drawn on 12May22.
• 4 Employees of GrownUps, AAT Kings and The Travel Corporation, associated sponsor(s) and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
• 5 Prizewinner must be at least 50 years of age in order to be eligible for the prize. Participants must be a resident of New Zealand, hold a passport with minimum six months’ validity and not have any prior criminal convictions.

3. The Prize

• 1. The Winner will be decided by lucky draw on 12May2022 from all eligible entries submitted during the Promotion Period. The Judge’s determination of the Winner will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• 2. The winners will be contacted using details provided. This may be announced on the 16May22. The GrownUps office will contact and advise the winner, and pick up all logistics of the prize deliverables. If a winner cannot be contacted within 5 working days GrownUps Holidays reserve the right to redraw a replacement winner.
• 3. The Prize consists of:
  • (a) Two (2) people on AAT Kings 5-day Monkey Mia & West Coast tour – https://www.aatkings.com/tours/monkey-mia-dolphins-and-west-coast/
  • (b) Two (2) return Economy Class airfare with Air New Zealand, flying from Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch to Perth.
• 4. The Winner and the Winner’s chosen travelling companions (‘Companions’) are responsible for and must cover the cost of:
  • (a) airport taxes and New Zealand government charges;
  • (b) visas, passports and any other travel documentation required;
  • (c) transport and associated costs from their residence to their selected Airport for flight departure and the Airport to their residence upon returning to New Zealand;
  • (d) all other expenses related to the Prize, including without limitation taxes, full travel insurance, transfers, spending money, food and beverage and any other incidental costs; and
  • (e) Any changes to travel dates or additional accommodation outside the travel period specified in the Prize details.
• 5. Travel for the Prize must depart and return during the following period: 17May2022-23Oct2023 (“travel period”).
• 6 Black out dates may apply to flights and AAT Kings tour.
• 7 The Winner and each Companion must travel together at all times within the travel period. The dates for travel are subject to availability of both the flights and accommodation. The Winner may not get preferred dates particularly around public holiday periods. AAT Kings reserves its right to impose particular flight embargoes during periods of heavy demand as is required commercially from time to time.

4.   Specific Rules

• 1. The Winner and Companions must hold full international travel insurance for the duration of the trip prior to departure from New Zealand.
• 2. If the Winner or Companion has a criminal record and is denied entry into the specified destination or encounters any visa issues on route, GrownUps Holidays and AAT Kings cannot be held responsible or liable in any way.
• 3. The Winner must contact GrownUps Holidays on 0800 842 685 to redeem the Prize in advance of requested travel date.
• 4. The provision of air tickets is subject to the following conditions:
  • (a) the issuance of tickets is subject to seat availability;
  • (b) excess baggage waiver will not be granted;
  • (c) Economy Class tickets are not upgradable to Premium Economy or Business Class unless the winner wishes to do so at their own expense;
  • (d) the tickets will only be issued if all sectors are confirmed;
  • (e) once the airline tickets are issued to the Winner and Companions, requests for changes of passengers’ names and travelling sectors made 35 days or less before the date of travel will be subjected to approval. For any changes to tickets after issuance a charge per change will be levied;
  • (f) no portion of travel not utilised may be carried forward beyond the validity dates contained on the ticket without the specific, written approval of AAT Kings.  Notwithstanding any validity date on the ticket, all travel on tickets issued must be utilised in full by 6 months of first departure date; and
  • (g) travel will only be available on operated services.
  • (h) The prize offerings are for one-time use (unless otherwise stated) and only valid for the duration of the prizewinners’ stay. Inclusive benefits are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other forms of claims if not utilised.
• 5. Charges for excess baggage shall apply where a passenger seeks to carry more than their entitlement of luggage.  In such cases, AAT Kings and GrownUps Holidays is not liable for the charges.
• 7. Tickets will be valid for the period specified on the ticket.  Unused travel at the expiry of the validity period cannot be refunded or re-utilised. Once a journey commences (i.e. the point at which the first flight coupon is redeemed for travel), the utilisation of the commitment for free tickets is deemed to have been made against the provision stated above.
• 8. Tickets are not transferable and must be issued only in the correct name of the person travelling.

5.   Winning the Prize

• 1. The Winner must be available for the preparation of all publicity that may be required by GrownUps Holidays.
• 2. The Winner accepts the Prize entirely at his/her own risk and indemnifies GrownUps Holidays in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the Prize.
• 3. All travel is subject to the terms, conditions and restrictions of the Prize service providers.

6.   Privacy

• 1. Competition entries become the property of GrownUps Holidays, who will keep the personal information it holds about entrants confidential and will not disclose it to third parties.
• 2. By participating, entrants grant GrownUps Holidays exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, videos, voices and likeness in connection with the Promotion and for future promotion and marketing purposes and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for such use.
• 3. All entrant personal details must be valid and up to date and will be held by GrownUps Holidays, subject to each entities privacy policy and may be used for the purpose of the Promotion and for future promotion and marketing purposes.

7.   General Conditions of Travel 

• 1. The Prizewinner and his/her Companion are expected to observe the following conditions as part of the utilization of travel:
  • (a) Hold valid passports with a minimum of 6 months validity at time of travel. The Prizewinner and their Companion must organise their own visas and requisite travel documentation (such as relevant valid international drivers’ licenses) for trips and any visa or passport charges are their sole responsibility. The Prizewinner must obtain and hold travel insurance for the entire duration of their travel. The Prizewinner must not do anything to void their travel insurance.
  • (b) The Prizewinner must at all times act in good faith and must not act in any way that would bring the Promoter into disrepute.
  • (c) The Promoter reserves the right to change and vary the Prize at any time and may substitute any Prize for an alternative Prize of similar value without any prior notice. The value of the Prize will be solely determined by the Promoter.
  • (d) The Promoter cannot be held responsible for the Prizewinner and/or their Companion being unable to participate in the travel Prize due to visa or other restrictions. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such travel documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of the traveller/s. At all times, it will be the responsibility of the traveller to ensure that his/her passport is in order and that he/she has the necessary visa clearances to enter the country of destination and, if required, any transit point.

8. Privacy Policy

• 1. The Promoter will comply with its obligations under the Privacy Act 1993.
• 2. The Participant agrees that the Promoter may collect, use and disclose the participant’s name, details and personal data (including photographs, audiovisual and other recordings) (“Data”) for the following purposes: to communicate with the Participant for the purposes related to the Competition, to provide goods and services to the Participant upon request, for publicity (whether to promote the Competition or otherwise) and for other matters for which the Participant has provided the Promoter with consent, without further notification, remuneration or compensation.
