There are lots of vegetarian books out there, but Repertoire is sure to become a dog-eared, stain- covered, go-to recipe book for the home cook. Filled with best-loved classics (including Vegetarian Lasagne, Ratatouille and Tiramisu), impressive ‘signature dishes’ worthy of a dinner party or celebration but minus the stress (such as Aubergine Bao Buns, Radicchio Risotto with Black Olive Crumbs and Peach Frangipane Tart), and future weekday favourites. This book is perfect for anyone who loves vegetarian dishes with gutsy flavours but is pressed for time.

Alice will begin the book by imparting a little of her nutritionist knowledge, explaining to the home cook what a balanced vegetarian meal looks like, concentrating on seasonality and accessible protein sources. However, this will be a worthy cookbook, and the main focus will be on humble, affordable and easy-to-find ingredients, reflecting the current economic situation.

Author Bio:

A Leith’s-trained chef with over 20 years’ experience in the food industry and a former food editor of the seminal Waitrose Food Illustrated Magazine, Alice Hart has authored many successful cookery books, including Alice’s Cookbook, Friends at my Table and The New Vegetarian, of which Nigella Lawson wrote ‘I feel I could cook from this book every night and have the perfect supper on the table daily’.

Alice writes regularly for numerous publications, including the New York Times, the Guardian, The Times, the Telegraph, Olive, Delicious and many more. Drawing on her original degree in physiology, Alice is about to complete a masters (MSc) in applied sports nutrition. She lives in Brighton.

    2. Competition closes on the 24th October 2023, winners will be notified via email by 26th October 2023.
    3. It is your responsibility to ensure you correctly enter a New Zealand postal address where the prize can be couriered. GrownUps will not take responsibility for prizes sent to incorrect addresses.
    4. Winners are drawn at random by the GrownUps administration team.
    5. GrownUps employees and family are not eligible to enter.
    6. By entering the giveaway, you approve for GrownUps to use your name on social media as winner of the competition.
    7. One entry per household.
    8. Prize is non transferrable.
    9. You must reside in New Zealand – the prize will only be posted within New Zealand.
