Meet Hayden
Hayden has had a lifetime involvement in gardening and horticulture in the Manawatu region. The last 20 or so years has seen a passion for the rose develop which Hayden shares freely through his writing and photography.
He currently serves as President for the Manawatu Rose Society based in Palmerston North and is also a member of Heritage Roses New Zealand. He currently serves on the New Zealand Rose Society council as webmaster for www.nzroses.org.nz, editor of the New Zealand Rose Review and Junior Vice President. Hayden is also involved in the NZRS trial grounds in Palmerston North, collating the scores each year and promoting the winners nationally and internationally. At an International level, Hayden also serves as Deputy Chairman of the World Federation of Rose Societies Rose Trials Committee, a member of the editorial board and is a member of the social media and technology subcommittee.
Hayden has traveled to International rose conventions in Japan, Australia, Canada, South Africa, France and China. He was part of the organising committee for the very successful World Federation of Rose Societies Regional Convention held in Palmerston North in 2013.
