That brought back memories. Was not really aware of the drama as it was my first overseas flight. Just felt there was tension in the cabin and dead silence. Once on the ground all was quickly normal and we were ferried by bus to the terminal. The second time in Hong Kong a hurricane was expected and the rush to the airport to leave was quite daunting. Amazing place back then.
