I flew to Brisbane Saturday morning and embarked on Pacific Dawn in the afternoon. I was lucky, by 4pm, there was no queue. Also lucky, because P & O Cruises gave me an upgrade from an inside cabin to an outside one.

Rail Cruising is new to Rotorua. Located in Mamaku, the business began in December 2011. The rail journey takes 2 hours and descends through rural scenery with some stunning bush vistas in the Dansey Scenic Reserve.
