Who doesn’t love a mint? Fresh breath always makes you feel so much better, and the containers are so cute. If you are a mint fan, you also have a ready made storage system for tiny things, by reusing the tins or plastic containers they come in.
Tic tac containers are transparent, but tins can be more robust – which ever you use, you can organise any manner of things. As they are a uniform size, you can also store them easily in a box.
Have you tried using mint containers:
- To paperclips, push pins or drawing pins safe
- To store/transport bobby pins and hair ties (instead of losing them at the bottom of a school bag or handbag!)
- To keep small earrings in one spot in your travel vanity bag
- To store spare or hidden keys
- To keep spare buttons in one place
- To storie pins and needles in a sturdy container
- As a place to keep your headphones in, so they don’t get tangled in a bag
- To carry a couple of spare batteries when travelling
- As a way to carry dog treats without making your pockets smell
- As a container to keep spices fresh and airtight
- Continuing with edibles, you can fill a tic tac container with sprinkles to dispense easily
- To keep matches dry
- Make a travel sized noughts and crosses/tic tac toe game (the pieces store easily inside!)

Also good for tramping, pack some coffee, sugar, tea leaves (for billy tea), hot chocolate, milk powder, etc etc. Just don’t forget to label them tho.
