Ingredients:
- 115g butter
- 1 1/2 cups raw sugar
- 1/2 cup wheatgerm
- 1 cup Wholemeal self raising flour
- 1 1/2 cups wholemeal flour
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup orange juice
Method:
Sift flours into a bowl, add any husks remaining. Add dry ingredients and walnuts, then lightly beat eggs. Melt butter in a saucepan and add to mixture.
Add orange juice and combine well.
Put mixture into greased paper-lined 15cm x 28cm lamington tin.
Bake at moderate heat oven for approximately 30 minutes.
Slice when cold.
Ice with orange flavoured icing if desired.
