Who says you can’t put bacon in a salad? This salad is a great accompaniment to any meal. Even people who aren’t fans of green vegetables will enjoy this bacon-seasoned salad.
Ingredients:
- 450g bacon, cut into pieces
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 broccoli crowns, stems peeled and heads cut into quarters
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- sea salt, to taste
- fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup roasted walnuts
Method:
Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the bacon until soft and lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Stir in the onion and cook until they are soft and slightly caramelised about 4 minutes.
Stir in the broccoli and Worcestershire sauce and cook until the broccoli is tender about 3 minutes.
Sprinkle with the roasted walnuts and season with salt and pepper (salt amount will vary depending on the saltiness of the bacon), and serve.
