Heres a good way to manage your power bill. Ask your power co. if they have an “easy pay option” If they do opt for it .You wont have to worry about your power bill ever again. How it works; the powerco divides your years bill amount by 12, and you pay by auto payment this amount, every month, summer and winter. During the summer when power usage is lower you build up a credit, and in winter when usage is higher, there is sufficient credit in your account to pay for the extra power. For example if you pay $1200 a year, 1200 divided by 12 =$100. I pay fortnightly $36
The beauty of this system is you know exactly what your power will cost every month and dont have to worry about larger winter bills. Try it!
