This is one for all enthusiastic petrol heads – a 450 tonne monster, designed especially for the mining industry – with eight tyres, 4600 HP and two engines. The Belaz 75710 dump truck can take a minimum of 450 tonnes of mined rock – while still fitting along mining roads designed for smaller vehicles.
The top speed is 64km/hr and it can handle an 18 degree gradient. Designers ensured that it is as fuel efficient as possible and is still manoeuvrable – and no special license is required for already-qualified mining drivers. How much bigger can these vehicles get?
