Rebels – My Son John. After Larry Morris left the popular NZ band Larry’s Rebels the band became simply the Rebels. Their first single My Son John went straight to number one. My Son John spent two weeks at the top of the charts in April 1969 keeping Fleetwood Mac from the top spot. The band relocated to Australia and released just one more single with no success and then disbanded in 1970. Band member Mal Logan went on to join the Little River Band.
