The Ride to Conquer Cancer is an incredible, 2-day, 200 km Ride to raise vital funds which enable the Cancer Society Auckland to support ground-breaking research & clinical trials at the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre. (ACSRC).
The ACSRC is one of the world's most productive academic cancer drug development groups having brought 12 new drugs to clinical trials in New Zealand and around the world.
This year in 2013, will be the first annual Ride in Auckland. Cancer is the leading cause of death in New Zealand accounting for 29.4% of all deaths.
The Ride brings together communities of Riders, Survivors and their Supporters who unite for a common goal: to conquer cancer.
We are currently looking for Crew and Volunteers from the community to help us put on this remarkable event. Volunteers will come help us along course routes, host pit stops along the ride, provide meals, set up our overnight camp, park bikes, provide support to our riders, and assist with the opening ceremonies.
