Fun Fact #1
In the 1920s, the one-piece swim suit was all the fashion. These suits, called "Tank Suits" covered all of the upper body but still bared the arms. The name came from the "tank" – meaning a pool or body of water – the women swam in.
Today we call sleeveless tops for men and women "tank tops", this is reminiscent of the "tank suit" days.
Fun Fact #2
The colour orange was named after the fruit, not the other way around. Before then, the English-speaking world referred to the orange colour as geoluhread, which literally translates to "yellow-red".
