Farewell Gene Wilder

Overnight on the 29th August 2016, we farewelled actor Gene Wilder – best known and loved for his role as Willy Wonka, the chocolate visionary. He died today, aged 84, of complications associated with Alzheimer’s disease.

Here is his version of Pure Imagination – he says if we want to change the world, there’s nothing to it – if only that were the case!

Gene was a star of stage, television and movies and was able to elicit madness, tenderness and intellect with ease. Rest well.
