We are so fortunate to live in an age of instant communication and rich connections with people from all over the world via the internet. Through YouTube and other outlets we have access to wonderful, inspiring stories and heart-centred happenings.
Here are a few of my favourite video clips to inspire you.
Christian the Lion
This old video footage captures the reunion of 2 Austrailian’s with their pet lion cub, 1 year after it had been released back into the wilds of Africa. An extraordinary story of love and attachment that crosses boundaries.
The Girl Who Silenced the World for 5 Minutes
In 1992 at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development a 12 year old Canadian girl spoke about the hole in the ozone layer, pollution, the devastation of the forests and extinction of so many species and left them completely silent and speechless for five minutes.
Susan Boyle – I Have Dream
This beautiful clip still bring tears of joy to my eyes. There are just so many lessons in this event for us all. This is now one of the most popular videos in the history of YouTube.
Randy Pausch’s Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams
Randy Pausch died of pancreatic cancer in his forties. In his moving talk Randy offers the life lessons he has learned and reminds us to focus on what is really important. (76 minutes)
Tony Melendez – The Guitar Player Without Arms
Tony Melendez was born in Nicaraqua with no arms. At 16 he decided he wanted to learn to play the guitar. Other people thought he couldn’t but he proved them wrong! This is a beautiful example of the old saying: “Where there is a will there is a way!”
