We gather together, and we introduce ourselves the Laughter Yoga way, by saying our names and laughing. Then, we simply laugh for no reason for 30 seconds, before we find our mental flosses, which are kept behind our ears. We put one end of the floss into one ear, and pull it through our heads and out of our other ear. This clears our minds as we pull it back and forth – eeeh! eeeh! eeeh! eeeh! We pull it out and clean off the goobies before rolling it up and putting it back behind our ears.
Then, we do a loosening breathing exercise to get out bodies ready for the Hokey Cokey warm up dance. This is followed by a good Ho ho ha ha ha! clapping warm up to make sure our bodies are ready to laugh! More breathing and stretching up and laughing down and then we greet one another with a shy way. Next we playfully clap and say, “Very good! Very good! Yey!” With a thumbs up at the end.
We have a laughter milkshake. Then, take a sip of hot tea, oooh! It is so hot! We stick our tongues right out, pant and fan them! After this we find we have a huge bottle of fizzy drink in the middle of us, and we take our giant straws out of our back pockets and suck up the fizziness, till it goes right up our noses! Very good! Very good! Yey!!
Then, a very strange thing happens, I turn into a giant champagne bottle, and so does everyone else, and we are shaken and shaken till our corks go POP!! We fizz all over the place and get sticky so we have to clean ourselves down…. Ho ho ha ha ha!
We breathe and stretch after all that excitement. We take a good deep breath in, and circle our arms in front of our bodies, up and out embracing all sorts of things in our lives, good and bad. We breathe out and we let out a loud Haaaaa!~ and let it all go…. Yes!
A posh gibberish cocktail party follows. And then, I smell fresh bread baking, so does everyone else and a huge crusty loaf of hot bread drops into the middle of us! It is fortunate that we have our butter knives in one back pocket and a lump of butter in the other! Everyone breaks pieces of bread and we all butter our delicious hot bread till it is dripping with butter. We eat it with great gusto!! We spread the butter that is left on our fingers all over our faces! Then, we wobble our full tummies and laugh, and rub our full tummies and laugh some more. Ha ha, he he! ha ha!
We breathe again with the exercise – Full Tummy, Empty Tummy. We place our hands on our tummies, then take a deep breath in through our noses and feel our tummies expand and get full of nourishing oxygen. Then, we breathe out with a loud haaaa! and felt our tummies become empty as they touch our spines. Very good! Very good! Yey!!
Next, everyone is paired up, and each pair has a plate of long spaghetti between them. They each take an end and suck, and suck, moving closer and closer to one another, till they touch noses. Then they hug one another and laugh! Ho ho ha ha ha!
After this, each pair holds hands and turns into ice cream making machines. They churn the milk and say, “Tak-Jhoum! Tak-Jhoum!” until the ice cream is ready. Fortunately, everyone has brought along a giant spoon. Everyone enjoys eating up the icy goodness and even more so, when I add chocolate sauce, nuts and put cherries on the top! Very good! Very good! Yey!!
Funnily enough, I have ice blocks stored down my shirt. I bring one out for everyone. One half of the group are now acting as mirrors, whilst the other half, lick and lick their ice blocks till their tongues get stuck! Then, everyone swaps and repeats the licking, tongue sticking exercise. Very good! Very good! Yey!!
After this, half the group acts as mirrors whilst the other half make themselves beautiful or handsome. They put on lipstick, brush their hair, put on their mascara, have a shave and put on their deodorant, perfume or aftershave before taking a deep breath in and hugging themselves and saying to the mirrors – I love you! Then, the exercise is repeated with the other half. Very good! very good! Yey!!
Next, we sit down on our chairs and move very close to one another and we start our Laughter Meditation by rubbing our knees and laughing, and laughing. Then, we rub each other’s knees and laugh and laugh some more. Next, we stretch and take a deep breath in, and breathe out with a loud haaaa!…. before laughing and laughing, and laughing and laughing some more. . This goes on till eventually people begin to close their eyes and giggle, then chuckle, then simply smile….. aaaaaah! We become still and quiet.
By the end of the relaxation, no-one wants to go home! They feel great! They are very awake and alert, yet calm and relaxed all at the same time. This is why I laugh with people. The benefits are spectacular and it doesn't matter whether I laugh with one person, four people or 120 people at a time, I know they experience connecting at heart level. They feel more joyful. They become healthier and they feel deep peace in their hearts, which they then go on to radiate out to the World! YES!
To find out where you can laugh with others on purpose for more health and happiness.
