Derek Mitchell’s weight topped out at a staggering 284kg (40 stone/625 lbs). He has vowed to beat the bulge by powering through as many 5km runs as he can – and plans to conquer a marathon. He started his gruelling exercise regime in 2014 after overcoming a soda and pizza addiction.
