What’s involved?
- A comprehensive pre-test of memory taking about an hour with a researcher.
- This will be held in two locations: Saturday, July 21st. University of Canterbury.
- Saturday, July 28th. University of Auckland.
- A commitment to participate in a fun-to-do memory training programme for seven weeks, to be completed at home. You’ll receive two training sessions a week delivered directly to your computer. You will spend about two hours a week completing the training.
- Keeping a record of how much time has been spent each week on the exercises.
- At the conclusion of the process, a post-test of approximately one hour with a researcher. September 15th in Christchurch. September 22nd in Auckland.
What’s in it for me?
- Being one of the first to sample a research-based set of memory training materials.
- The opportunity to improve your memory skills for confidence, productivity and quality of life in later years.
- Free online access to the course book, “Seven Second Memory” (if you prefer, hard copies are available for purchase at a reduced price).
- Knowing you are assisting in research to prevent memory loss in later years.

What a shame that it wasn’t initially mentioned that the main criteria is not the age group, commitment or internet access, but it is only for people who can be in Auckland or Christchurch around 2 specific dates.
Did someone “FORGET?”
Good luck with the project!
