Auckland’s Murray Savidan is Aotearoa’s best kept photography secret, yet he’s been a leader in the field for some 50 years as a fashion photographer, commercial director, studio photographer, street photographer both in Aotearoa and all over the globe, often in dicey situations. He’s New Zealand’s David Bailey, a storyteller.

This book showcases his best, from the 1960s to 2024. From nude heroes in Berlin, to workers in the old Heard’s sweet factory on Parnell Road, Auckland – challenging, beautiful, surprising; Savidan’s captured them all.

    2. Competition closes on the 2nd April 2025, winners will be notified via email by 3rd April 2025.
