It was class photo day at the primary school, and the children had just finished lining up in their smartest clothes and biggest smiles. After the photographer left, the teacher gathered everyone around with the glossy group picture.
Trying to encourage the kids to order a copy, she said, “Just think how special this will be when you’re all grown up. You’ll look at it and say, ‘There’s Jennifer, she’s a lawyer,’ or, ‘That’s Michael, he’s a doctor.’”
From the back of the room, a small voice piped up, “…And there’s the teacher… she’s dead.”
