If you have your grandchildren visiting these holidays then this is a great recipe to make with them (as long as you don’t mind a bit of mess). Two ingredients is all it takes to make this dough with equal parts of self-raising flour and yoghurt. It’ll keep them entertained and they can top the dough with the toppings of their choosing making it perfect for picky eaters.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 1 cup yoghurt
Toppings:
- Tomato paste, cheese and pineapple
- Marmite and cheese
- Ham and cheese
- Spaghetti
- Cheese, onion and bacon
- Cheese and basil pesto
- Bacon and cheese
- ham, capsicum, pineapple and cheese
- Chicken and sweet chilli
- Spinach and fetta
- Sundried tomatoes, basil and cheese
- Leftovers such as mince, roast chicken, beef
Method:
Put the oven on 180 C.
Mix the dough ingredients together in a bowl, adding a little more flour if the mix is too sticky. Roll out onto a floured flat surface so it is about 5mm thick.
Top with your choice of toppings. Leave a bit of space around the edges so you can roll it up.
Roll it up and slice into 2 cm thick segments, bake on a baking tray until golden, approximately 15-18 minutes.
Allow to cool a wee bit then serve.
