What makes a garden – Is it the grass, the flowers, the birds bathing in the fountain? I’d argue that nothing quite makes a garden more than the classic Rose. The scent of a freshly blooming Rose is so distinctive and beautiful, it can take you back through time.
Visually beautiful, The Rose is the symbol of romantic love for a reason. In ancient Greece, the Rose was closely associated with the goddess Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. There are few flowers that are quite as striking as the Rose. The beautifully ornate and delicate petal formations are distinct, elegant and breathtaking. Which is why roses are one of the most popular cut flowers in the world.
Whether you want to build up an imposing, yet beautiful hedge, or a glorious bush that will provide you with years and years of beautifully fresh cut flowers you can’t go wrong with the Rose.
November is the best season to celebrate roses, as most flowers are in full bloom and full of fragrance. So we’re really excited about King’s Plant Barn’s Festival of Roses, 3 weeks dedicated to these beautiful florals. Kings are proud to say they have Auckland’s biggest range of roses available instore and online, but are especially excited about this season’s newest releases.
