Hokey Pokey Biscuits

A favourite in New Zealand, quick to make and keeps the grandkids busy!

Ingredients

Method

  1. Place butter, sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan large enough to mix all the ingredients in. Heat through, stirring continuously until butter has melted and the mixture is close to boiling. Allow to cool slightly.
  2. Dissolve the baking soda in the milk and add to cooled mixture along with the sifted flour. Mix well.
  3. Roll into balls and place on greased oven tray . Flatten with a fork.
  4. Bake at 180C for 15 min or until golden.
