Four Uses for Pockets

1. Book it: Cover a journal or diary with fabric and add some handy pockets to keep pencils and other bits and pieces organised. Cut fabric with 3cm extra for folding inside the cover. Design and sew on pockets.Glue fabric in place and add a ribbon or some elastic to hold pages securely.


2. Your place: Create cute place settings by stitching pockets onto a placemat. Keep your guests organised with a name tag slipped under a ribbon loop. Size up your cutlery and napkins first, then cut pocket to fit.


3. Get noted: Brighten up a home office or kitchen wall with a pin board of pockets. Customise your pockets to fit your favourite items.


4. Pillow pal: Add a cute ruched pocket to a pillow slip and pop in a little friend to keep kids company at night.
