Soccer Mad

In 1986, a football team was formed on a little island in the south of Thailand called “Koh Panyee.” It’s a floating village in the middle of the sea that has not an inch of soil. The kids here loved to watch soccer, but had no way to play.

However, with necessity being the mother of invention, they constructed a floating pitch. As their ‘field’ had water all around it, they had to develop very specific skills, to avoid retrieving the ball from the ocean endlessly.
