Sleep easy, snore less

Good quality sleep is essential for good health. Sleep disruption can lower your natural immunity, lead to daytime drowsiness and lowered efficiency and contribute to blood pressure and heart problems. One of the most common causes of sleep disturbances is snoring and mild/moderate sleep apnea, affecting not only your sleep, but that of your partner.

Sleep apnea affects the way you breathe when you’re sleeping, resulting in shallow or interrupted breathing patterns. These ‘breathing pauses’ last often between 10 to 20 seconds, and can occur many times a night, preventing a natural sleep rhythm. You will have less deep, restorative sleep, which is important for physical and mental wellbeing.

Chronic sleep deprivation can also lead to health problems, but there are treatments available. The most common type of sleep apnea is called obstructive sleep apnea, when the soft tissue in the back of your throat relaxes during sleep and blocks the airway, often causing you to snore loudly. This causes the oxygen level in your blood to drop and your brain will briefly disturb your sleep enough to ‘kick start’ your breathing, which often comes with a gasp or a choking sound.

Repositioning your jaw during sleep is an effective way to treat mild to moderate Sleep Apnea – and the ApneaRx, available at Harvey Norman, has been widely researched and found to be a solution for sufferers.

The ApneaRx used an advanced, heavily tested design to gently hold the lower jaw in a slightly forward position that allows more air to flow during sleep. The ApneaRx reduces snoring and can be moulded to fit any mouth size, simply using boiling water. For more precise fitting you can use the built-in slider to adjust how it sits in your jaw for a comfortable experience.

ApneaRx has undergone extensive clinical studies across a number of years in order to deliver the best, safest results. The device has been proven to treat mild to moderate Sleep Apnea and reduce symptoms for a better night’s sleep.
