Veronica McLaughlin has been in love with the movies since her childhood in the Bronx, when she and her best friend Marilyn turned up at the Kent Theatre every Saturday morning at 10am with thirty five cents for a movie ticket and 15 cents for popcorn and two candy bars – which got them through the cartoons, a couple of shorts and two feature films – watching them all twice – until the usher made them go home for supper.
A New Zealander since 1994, she spent years as the movie editor for Real Groove Magazine and now writes for The 13th Floor. She will share her reviews with us – leaving out the greasy kid stuff, focussing on grown-up flicks of all kinds. When she’s not watching or writing about movies, Veronica is a busy free-lance photographer and social media marketer.
