Well, we’ve got news for you. Mustachioed men lose an average of 0.56 milliliters of beer per sip (or about 5.6 milliliters of beer per pint) to their mustache, according to research by Guinness.

And of course, this adds up! Size, shape and density all have an effect on the amount of wastage, with fuller mustaches causing more waste.
