About Oh, So Many Kisses

This heart-warming, beautifully illustrated picture book is now available in a te reo Māori edition!

A shy kiss, a bold kiss.
A warm kiss,
and a cold kiss.

He kihi konekone, he kihi whakapiri.
He kihi whakaāhuru,
me te kihi makariri.

The cuddliest, cosiest, most heart- warming book of kisses. A kiss from Mum, Dad, Grandma, a shy kiss between friends, a slimy kiss between frogs, and even the snuffly little kiss of a baby piglet.

Acclaimed author Maura Finn takes us on a journey through life’s littlest, most memorable moments, right through to bedtime.

It is the perfect book to read with little ones at any time, with gorgeous watercolour illustrations by one of NZ’s top illustrators, Jenny Cooper.

A celebration of diversity, featuring babies and families from all walks of life, plus the cutest of animals – from kittens to pandas!

This new edition told in te reo Māori is by award-winning translator, Pānia Papa.

Maura Finn was born and raised in Wellington, NZ, and now lives in Melbourne with her husband and two young daughters. In her earliest writing days, she ran a rather lucrative playground business, swapping tailor-made poems for lunchbox leftovers. Now, many years later, she has rediscovered the joy and value of picture books through sharing them with her own children and others. Maura is the author of Oh, So Many Kisses! and This is the Dog.

Jenny Cooper is the prolific illustrator of many cherished picture books. She has received multiple Storylines Notable Book awards, has twice been nominated for the Russell Clark Award for illustration, and won Best Picture Book at the 2015 New Zealand Children’s Book Awards. In 2015 Jenny was the Mallinson Rendel Illustrators Award recipient. Her latest title with Scholastic NZ is Who Took the Toilet Paper? She lives in Amberley, North Canterbury.
