A journey of mental health and well-being with practical tools for the ‘Wobbly Days’ by a New Zealander with lived experience and solutions that she teaches internationally.
Be Kind to Your Mind by Julia Grace is more than a self-help book, it’s an honest, interactive and well-researched resource. Combining her lived experience of depression and anxiety, with the mental health solutions she teaches worldwide, this book is for everyone regardless of where you sit on the wellbeing spectrum.
Using stories, science and humour, Julia offers a clearer understanding of how the brain works, introducing the practical tools and better mental health language that she teaches worldwide. This book will probably make you laugh, it’ll possibly make you cry, but you will definitely teach you more about the vital practice of learning to ‘Be Kind to Your Mind’.
The book includes a free download of the songs featured in the stories, all songs that feature on Julia Grace’s albums.
From the foreword by broadcaster Petra Bagust
‘My experience of reading Be Kind to Your Mind was having plenty of ‘aha’ moments, interspersed with moments of realising I needed to do the mahi. It made me look back over my thought patterns and life events to see them in a clearer light, helping me lighten the load of some of the memories and ideas I journey with about myself, others and the world. Through science, music, research and personal experience, Julia is able to guide the reader through accessible practices to help unlock greater mental well-being.’
