About Andy & The Little Rimu Tree

In this charming debut picture book for young children, Andy makes three wishes that take him on a big adventure…

Andy’s eyes lit up like stars as he sat on his bed looking at the beautiful little rimu tree.

“I wish to go on my own adventure,” said Andy and he closed his eyes. Sleep was near and, in his heart, he saw himself journeying off to a faraway land.

Andy & The Little Rimu Tree is a delightful story with beautiful illustrations that children will love to read and be read to again and again.

Author Note

When I studied English at tertiary level at the University of Auckland, I learnt how to use writing as my creative outlet.

Some years ago, I was looking after my nephew and we were playing a game of pirates. While immersed in playing, he told me he was ‘going on important pirate business’.

This sparked the idea for the story Andy & The Little Rimu Tree, my debut children’s picture book.
