Kinetics is a physical therapy and exercise rehabilitation clinic with established protocols for all common orthopaedic surgeries undertaken in New Zealand. We offer education and strengthening programmes prior to surgery to improve timeframes for return to sporting, working, or recreational environments following surgery. Our exercise rehabilitation programmes are focused specifically on the individual’s goals and are very effective in achieving maximum potential function following injury or surgery.
With our performance team consisting of Robert Knight, principal physiotherapist, Rob Dallimore, sports and biomechanical podiatrist and owner of Foot Traffic, David Harris, physiotherapist specialising in muscle conditioning, and Victoria Hirst, clinical sports therapist and masseur, we are able to offer sports -active people expert diagnosis of soft tissue and joint injuries, and improve performance through strength, alignment, and muscle conditioning. We also have strong links with orthopaedic specialists if surgery or further investigation is needed.
In addition, we provide exercise prescription and professional support for those people who are suffering from heart conditions or diabetes. Victoria Hirst is a certified cardiac rehabilitation instructor and has worked with many diabetics to help them regain an active lifestyle and control medications through prescriptive exercise.
The clinic has private consultation rooms with an in-house training studio and is located centrally in rapidly growing Orewa on the Hibiscus Coast. Kinetics is an ACC Endorsed Provider and a provider for ACC’s Work Hardening programme. We are the preferred regional provider for ANZNational Bank.
